UWA has various types of international agreements which have been established based on the purpose  of the agreement.

Purpose: Framework for future co-operation

• Agreement type: Memorandum of Understanding
• Approximate approval time: Two weeks

Purpose: Exchange of students (undergraduate and postgraduate) between institutions

• Agreement type: Student Exchange agreement
• Approximate approval time: Two months

Purpose: Formalisation of advanced standing (credit) arrangements

• Agreement type: Articulation agreement
• Approximate approval time: Three months

Purpose: Establishment of double-badged doctoral degree programs

• Agreement type: Cotutelle/Joint/Double-badged agreements (first)
• Approximate approval time: Six months

Purpose: Participation by individual student in established double-badged program

• Agreement type: Cotutelle/Joint/Double-badged agreements (subsequent)
• Approximate approval time: Three months

Purpose: Intensive programs for UWA students at overseas institutions

• Agreement type: In-country agreement
• Approximate approval time: Two months

Purpose: UWA offshore courses

• Agreement type: Transnational agreement
• Approximate approval time: Six months

Purpose: Establishing new courses onshore

• Agreement type: New Courses/Programs to be offered to International Students
• Approximate approval time: up to twelve months
