  1. that any block credit policy which sets out the extent of credit to be granted to all students holding a particular qualification be submitted to the Academic Council for approval;
  2. that any block credit policy which is based on qualifications obtained from an overseas institution be submitted first to the International Strategies Sub-Committee on International Agreements for recommendation to Council;

Local arrangements

For arrangements with local institutions this checklist with appropriate attached information, should be forwarded to the Deputy University Secretary for consideration by Academic Council.

International arrangements

For arrangements with international institutions this checklist with appropriate attached information, should be forwarded to the Director, International Centre, for consideration by the International Strategies Sub-Committee for recommendation to Academic Council.

Where such arrangements for advanced standing are with an international institution which will be promoting pathways to this University, then a formal articulation agreement is essential to ensure that the requirements of the Educational Services for Overseas Students Act 2000 are met. In all other cases of an arrangement with an international institution, an agreement is strongly advised in order to formalise arrangements and responsibilities.
