These procedures and checklist are designed to assist schools and faculties with the process of obtaining approval for transnational programs.

Schools (or faculties if the proposal emanates from this level) should discuss their plans at an early stage with the Director of the International Centre for advice about issues to be considered in the development of a proposal.
Schools/faculties should bear in mind that the approval process following the submission of all required documents will take about three months.
Careful consideration should be given to the rationale, objectives and business case for the program (see the Transnational Education Programs - Quality Assurance Guidelines).

Following approval by Faculty/Faculty Board, all the required documents should be submitted to the Director, International Centre, who will manage the approval of the proposal by the following bodies in the order listed:
The Faculty will be informed of the final approval of a proposal in writing by the Academic Secretary.
Faculties should assess the viability of programs annually, and then submit income and expenditure statements to Financial Services.
After the first three years of operation, and prior to renewal faculties must conduct an academic and financial review of each transnational program using the following documents:
